1823 - 18 Volumes THE PERCY ANECDOTES Sholto/Reuben Percy - Half Leather Binding This is a good original set of 18 volumes of 'The Percy Anecdotes' by Sholto and Reuben Percy, published in 1823. The beautiful set all in half leather binding, is near complete being originally produced in 20 volumes it is just missing volumes 9 & 11. Each volume bears an impressive bookplate for 'Prescott' to the inner cover with a name inscription 'Rev. J. Prescott'. The set is in generally good clean condition though the title pages have some expected foxing and there are a few marks and stains to 5 pages of volume XV. A few have previously been close to dampness and a couple have minor darkening to the edges. Volume 5 has been stored bent resulting in a slightly bowed condition, please see the detailed photos.
