The Buddy L Jr. line came about in the late 1920's early '30's for just a few years as a cost cutting attempt during the great depression from the bigger earlier pressed steel toys offered. These Jr. toys offered a two tiered bumper, headlights, front steering, opening cab doors and smaller wheels. Most of the Buddy L Jr. line measured 24" long as this one is.
