Dedham Rabbit Bowl Blue White Crackle Glaze Vintage Serving Bowl Handmade This is a vintage handmade ceramic bowl in the classic Dedham Rabbit style, blue and white crackle glazed pottery with a hand painted rabbit and clover border band wrapped around the outside. This look originated with the Dedham Pottery company of Dedham, Massachusetts (1896 to 1943), and several later potteries carried on the tradition with their own reproductions and variations. Bottom is hand inscribed in blue script, reading "Syracusa" along with "191," which appears to be an artist signature or studio mark rather than a factory backstamp. Measures approximately 7.5 inches in diameter and about 3 inches tall. A nice sized serving bowl for salads, fruit, or as a decorative catchall, and a good fit for anyone collecting Dedham Rabbit style or New England blue and white pottery.
