Vintage Sterling Silver Guilloche Swiss 8-Day Desk Clock Mint Green Enameled Gorgeous sterling silver Art Deco desk clock! The Guilloche engraved pattern is a spirograph wave. The backing is made of wood that has a varnish on it. The face has most likely darkened with age. Gorgeous sterling silver Art Deco desk clock! 8-Day Swiss mechanism in a British designed silver body bearing the British sterling mark. The Guilloche engraved pattern is a spirograph wave. The enamel is a beautiful mint green or light teal color and has no chips or fading. The circular band around that frame the clock face appears to be brass, as does the easel back stand attached to the back. The wind-up clock works as well as I can tell. The backing is made of wood that has a varnish on it.The face has most likely darkened with age. That would be consistent with its' age being made in the 1920's when this style of necessary dresser and desk accessories was popular. There is a slight imperfection of the way that the silver band was shaped onto the top of the clock. This can be seen more from the back and does not affect the beauty of the time piece. Please see the photos. The rarity of the shape, color, and condition is something to appreciate. I hope that it finds a home that will take great care of it so that it will remain a lovely remembrance of a time gone by.Measurements: 3 5/8" L3 1/4" H2" wide when resting on its' easel backing.
