There is an opening in the middle surrounded by flowers with two faux pinecone shaped weights attached. We have a large number of vintage and antique clocks currently listed along with an equally impressive collection of music boxes and other very nice collectibles.  Be sure to have a look at our other items! This is an outstanding find of a very popular, highly collectible, antique miniature grandfather clock that was created in what was then, Weigheim "West Germany" by "Josef Hauser," one of the finer clock makers in this region of the world and one of the founders of the Lenzkirch Clock Company. It's absolutely gorgeous and has spent the last 50 years in the original box which is included. The clock is suitable for any desk, table, or mantel and is made of hard plastic and trimmed in blue and gold with lots of colorful flowers as well. The top is rounded and has decorative finials on either side. There is an opening in the middle surrounded by flowers with two faux pinecone shaped weights attached. It's open so you can observe the brass pendulum swinging back and forth from this angle or through the oval openings on either side of the case. The dial has a "Tempus Fugit" globe logo on the top and the chapter ring has a silver backdrop featuring easy to read black Roman numerals to mark the hours while fancy black hands point out the time. The country name, "West Germany" is found on the lower dial. The back is fully intact and secure yet opens easily in order to place the pendulum. The clock is fitted with a key wind mechanical clock that winds on an arbor located just above the 6 o'clock position; lasts for about two days on a single wind. The movement bears the J Engstler name and West Germany point of origin. It's a very impressive clock and equally so in size too measuring about 10 1/2" at its highest, about 2" or so deep, and about 3 1/2" at its widest point. It's just stunning to look at and works very well here and keeps good time too. The clock comes complete as shown with a brass metal pendulum and adjustable bob, the metal winding key, and the original box from the factory. This is an extraordinary clock that will certainly capture the attention and imagination of anyone seeing it in your home, office, or wherever it is that you care to showcase a rare German animated timepiece with a genuine legacy behind it.
