However, the clock hands do move, and the clock ticks, just not for long. I'm not a clock expert, so I did not investigate further. Vintage 1952 German MINX windup ceramic mantle clock Cherub Violin. If you have a VW Oval Beetle, this may be the clock for your dash. The clock fits into a 2¼" hole, the outer front bezel measures 2½". The display measurements are 10¼" tall, 7¾" wide and 2" deep. Partially working - could be refurbished The ceramic casting underneath has a backwards 52 and XII49. Made in Germany. I'm listing this clock as non working and/or needs refurbished. However, the clock hands do move, and the clock ticks, just not for long. I'm not a clock expert, so I did not investigate further. The ouer bezel of the clock has surface corrosion, rust, but could easily clean off.
