Ship's Clock - Salem Clock Co. Mark II Ships Clock – Restored -- Early And Rare The brass case and dial have been refinished and sealed under a lacquer clear coat. The dial is engraved silver-plated brass, which has been re-silvered along with the reflector ring. The hands were repainted black. Legacy Trail, St. Augustine, FL 32092 This early model Salem Clock Company ship’s clock was made between 1948-1955.  The US based Salem Clock Company generally used either Swiss or German made movements in its Ship’s and Mantle clocks.  The Mark II ships clocks are quite uncommon and a collector’s choice. This Mark II clock incorporates a Swiss T&S 7-jewel time and strike movement.  The brass case and dial have been refinished and sealed under a lacquer clear coat.  The dial is engraved silver-plated brass, which has been re-silvered along with the reflector ring.  The hands were repainted black.  Movement has been cleaned and oiled.  Key is included. This ships clock divides each 12-hour period into three 4-hour shifts, example: 12:30   1 bells 1          2 bells 1:30     3 bells 2          4 bells 2:30     5 bells 3          6 bells 3:30     7 bells 4          8 bells Then it begins the next 4-hour period with 1 bell again. Shipping the clock is done using double cardboard boxing. Ships only to the lower 48 states.
