DESCRIPTION – This is the Kodak Pinhole Camera designed by Frederick W. Brehm for 3 x 4 inch sheet film. Very Uncommon. Please note this has the original film backing board. According to McKeown’s Guide to Antique and Classic camera, these were given to school children during the 1920s for use as a science project. Each kit given had to be constructed by the child. The child would assemble the box, cut the front opening for the pinhole paper, place the black pinhole paper over the opening (inside or outside), create a pinhole using a No. 10 needle, and attach the pinhole cover (rotating cardboard piece) to the front of the camera. Conlon of Geneseo, New York, was a 1952 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) – she was in the Photo Technology Department.
