HISTORY – The Beau Brownie seems to first appear in the 1931 Kodak & Kodak Supplies Catalog – which has a lovely Art Deco cover - one of the best in my opinion. CONDITION SUMMARY – Super nice display model. DESCRIPTION – This is a super nice example of the early to mid-1930s Kodak Beau Brownie No. 2A box camera with the original strap handle (often missing). Also has an empty film spool. The camera was designed to use 116 roll film and is fully working and ready to shoot. Film adapters to use 120 film in the camera have been routinely available on eBay. HISTORY – The Beau Brownie seems to first appear in the 1931 Kodak & Kodak Supplies Catalog – which has a lovely Art Deco cover - one of the best in my opinion. The exterior was designed by Walter Dorwin Teague; thus turning an ordinary box camera into a chic, colorful fashion accessory. Production of the camera apparently ceased in 1933. CONDITION SUMMARY – Super nice display model. Face plate very clean. Camera functions. Has dust/debris in lens - should deliver acceptable recreational photos.
